Barnes & Noble Bookstores to Host LEGO Movie-Themed Events Starting Jan. 25

With the premiere of The LEGO Movie coming next month, Barnes & Noble will host special events at their bookstores nationwide, with the kickoff on Saturday, Jan. 25.  From the press release:

For the LEGO Hands-On Learning “Count Down to the Movie” event, LEGO fans will learn about LEGO’s first-ever full-length feature film and join in fun activities. Customers can also listen to The LEGO Movie theme song from the upcoming Soundtrack and enjoy a screening of the official trailer for The LEGO Movie on NOOK® devices. Space is limited to 50 participants per store who will receive a mini movie poster. Customers are encouraged to contact their local Barnes & Noble store for additional information and to sign up for the event.

To find contact info for your local Barnes & Noble click here for their store locator.  The last LEGO event hosted by B&N featured freebuilds from their LEGO Architecture line, and participants got to take home free bricks.  That’s never a bad thing.  🙂

D’oh! First Glimpse of “The Simpsons” LEGO Set!

Okay… that’s pretty awesome.  Includes Bart, Lisa, Marge, Homer, Maggie and Ned Flanders.  They’ve even got the pink car snuggly in the garage.  Something about the Bart and Lisa minifigs seems off, but really, who’s complaining?  Set #71006 clocks in at just over 2,500 pieces, and we’re guessing it’ll have a price point of $149.  We’ll see!  (The BrickFan via Gizmodo; h/t Jon Lazar)
